SPIRITUAL WELLFARE

Empowering Healing, Challenging Systems

Welcome to Spiritual Wellfare, a sanctuary for transformative healing and liberation. Founded in 2020 by Mystiika, MA, AMFT, our journey began with a vision to dismantle oppressive systems and revive ancient ancestral practices for embodied living.

Intent

Rooted in a compassionate understanding of the long-standing impacts of systemic oppression, our mission is to facilitate a journey towards wholeness and empowerment for individuals and communities alike.

We envision a world where:

  • Every individual, especially those from marginalized communities, has access to holistic healing that respects and integrates their unique identities and experiences.

  • The deep-rooted systemic barriers impacting queer, BIPOC, and gender-expansive communities are dismantled

  • Communities are not only surviving but thriving

  • Somatic, spiritual, and creative practices are recognized as essential tools for addressing trauma and fostering well-being.

At our core, we blend timeless wisdom with science-backed practices to forge new pathways of liberation within the body. We aim to guide individuals beyond mere survival, empowering them to thrive and break the chains of intergenerational trauma.

Co-create your journey of healing with us where together we weave a tapestry of care that honors your unique story and fosters a future where thriving is not just a possibility, but a reality.

Testimonial

"Due to severe social traumas I have been in constant practice with socializing and typically experience intense insecurity, social fears and anxiety. Throughout my time at Spiritual Wellfare's Somatic Serenity retreat, my nervous system was finally able to be at peace around other people, strangers even! Mystiika beautifully cultivated a safe and inclusive container. Upon arrival, I was met with joy, love, and a mutual desire and eagerness to connect which quickly helped me feel welcomed. I've always had fears of being "othered" or scripted as extremely strange for the ways I talk or stimm when nervous. I've always known I needed to be around more neurodivergent people, more people who get it... and Mystiika's retreat space was just that! There were a plethora of sensory toys and activities for stimming: legos, squishy toys, paint, playdough, etc. that eased moments of intense emotions. There were several moments of deep-bellied laughter and nature walks that created balance throughout our time. I felt accepted to be my silly, little, musical self so much so that on the last day of the retreat I was comfortably singing, whining my hips and moving my entire body. Mystiika's facilitation and guidance through meditation and a movement flow allowed me to safely and intentionally feel into sensations and emotions I had been carrying but unable to feel. They stated "just the right" things to help facilitate comfort, safety and to help me get out of my own head. I cried, laughed, talked and sat in silence with people I had just met. My experience at the retreat still motivates me to be courageous in my healing journey, to seek community, uphold my boundaries, to accept and love on my authentic, weird self and create embodied practices for myself on a daily basis. I am still in deep gratitude and reflection."
